Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is the personalised application of therapeutic yoga techniques which can be used to help empower an individual to improve their health and well-being through the practice of yoga. It uses a holistic, body, mind approach to help with the treatment of specific health conditions either alone, or along side conventional medical practice which is specifically tailored by the therapist to meet the individuals specific physical, mental and emotional needs and goals.
In Yoga Therapy, both the therapist and client are jointly involved in the process. The therapist learns from their client about their specific situation, their requirements and abilities, by deep listening and sensitivity, and provides a safe environment in which to empower the client into their own healing within the broad frame of yoga practice.
At YogaSimply, we offer Yoga Therapy either on an individual (one to one) basis usually when a specific requirement is related to a personal health condition or situation, or as part of focussed group therapy sessions where the participants have a similar objective. For example, improving general health and wellbeing for elderly or less able individuals. These group sessions are usually held in Fareham. No previous experience of yoga is required to attend any of our sessions.

*Please note that Yoga Therapy is not intended to replace medical advice. However, used jointly they can compliment each other.
